Hilltop Urban Church is centered in its house churches.
The house church is where we together live out the Great Commandments, which we call the Three Loves:
- Loving God
- Loving Our Neighbors
- Loving One Another
Each week, the house church shares a common meal, followed by a meeting time. We follow a simple common format.
Children are included. They share along with us their "happy and sad" things of the week around the table, and then are generally excused for the meeting time.
Our meetings are a safe place to confess our shortcomings, learn from other's experiences, talk over God's Word, and find support, encouragement, and prayer as we together seek to be and do like our King Jesus.
Each house church is lead by a team of shepherds. Someone from the community is always a part of the shepherd team. As new leaders emerge, the shepherds apprentice them, preparing for the day when they will be sent out to plant a new house church.
