Tutoring Ministry "On Hold"
As Hilltop Urban Church transitions from a staff lead, volunteer intensive program ministry to a grassroots, community lead church, our formal tutoring program is on hold. Our new children's ministry team, made up of community members, is first focusing on being trained and providing children's ministry within the church body.
At present, we would encourage you to volunteer as a tutor at our local elementary school, Jefferson. 973-3000.

If there is a volunteer position that has the most impact on the life of a student, it would have to be their weekly leaders.
Youth Group (7th-12th grade) meets each Wednesday evening, following a rotation of carefully designed evenings combining group fun, smaller group lessons, prayer, and once a month, a special impact outing. Girls and boys small group bible studies, for those ready to go deeper, are scheduled at other times. Some of our volunteer leaders have both helped on Wednesday nights and led small groups, while others have volunteered at one or the other.

Did someone believe in you, even when you messed up? Did someone hang in there with you and "be there?" In the right situation, you could be that person for a child, a youth, or an adult. Carefully, prayerfully, we seek mature believers who can be matched with someone ready for a special friend and mentor, providing biblical and life guidance.
Contact our office if you'd like to explore this.

Manna has become a Bible study and lunch fellowship for interested community residents.
Volunteers can help prepare, serve, and clean up the simple meal. As usual, the best part is the friendships we have as we study, eat, laugh, and talk together.
Bible Study begins at 10:00 AM, with prayer and a meal following.
The best way to volunteer at Manna is simply to show up on a Wednesday, meet Marge and Sue our Manna leaders, and size up the opportunities. So come join us!

Thrift Shop Closed
After many many years, we have closed the thift shop due to shrinking customer use. Apparently, our community has discovered better resources elsewhere. Thank you for your interest and support over all these years.
